How to Live Forever

A Response to the Hank Green’s vlogbrothers video;

If you haven’t seen the video, watch it here.

So, I think as a general rule, most people would like to love forever, or at least for a long time. The idea of immortality, and being immune to disease, wounds, or even old age is a quite appealing thought. However, after watching the video it seems that it’s going to be a quite difficult feat. The selective breeding idea, while it seems that it may work, I’m not totally sold on it. I think that it would increase the life expectancy of people in our time period, but yes it would be entirely cruel! Plus, there would be less people on the earth, which is beneficial to some issues in our society, but also there would be less people to go into the necessary job forces such as police, doctors, and scientists. Though we would be breeding a group of stronger individuals, once anything bad happened to them after the people of today had mostly died off, there would be hardly any doctors to help them, or any researchers/scientists to be able to cure it.

When you introduce a new way of society, it generally comes with new diseases, and new diseases will also come without such a change. So the older people with that experience would work their life up up to being, let’s say a doctor, until they turned 50 (or whatever the age the evil dictator decided on) but at 50 they would just stop, and begin to live their lives, and have babies. Then, this extremely qualified and intelligent person can’t pass on their wisdom to others in the field, and it would just be mass chaos!

I don’t know, the idea of selectively breeding our population is just pretty intriguing to me! That, and bathing in the blood of virgins.

I don’t currently have a lot to say. I feel like there is something to say, but I don’t know what it is about or whether it is my responsibility to even say it. I honestly have a lot of quotes I want to post here, but too many quotes would be just plain boring.

But anyways, Happy Mothers Day! It’ll be sunday in 14 minutes here, and I need to wrap my mother’s gift and go to sleep! Tomorrow I’m just hanging with my mom and grandma, since she’s not up to going anywhere seeing as she just had surgery! Have a fabulous day!

"Can we call Ben then?"
"No. Ben's an asshole."
"Of course he is."

It’s so rare in life that the word ‘fortunately’ precedes the words ‘they have poisonous poop.’

HAPPY HANKO DE MAYO!

I hope everyone had a good Hanko De Mayo, and after watching the incredibly long video of people in their plants, I’m really upset that I didn’t participate! I think it would be super cool to be in the video, and to have done something awesome for Hank! There’s not really a whole lot for me to respond to, other than the fact that Nerdfighteria is so freaking awesome!

vlogbrothers

So as a personal project, I have decided that from now on, I’m going to make responses to all of the vlog brothers videos from now on right here! That way, I’ll be able to get my opinions out without the hassle of the word limit on youtube! I would love if you’d like to follow my journey!

I’ll also take quotes from the videos, and possibly screenshots for your viewing/reading pleasure.

Perhaps the same could happen for other videos!
